Accessibility statement

Last updated: 20.04.2026

SDGZ-URES is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Italian Law 4/2004 (“Stanca Law”) and EU Directive 2016/2102. This statement describes our conformance status, the evaluation methodology and the way to report issues.

1. Conformance status

Partially compliant

The website is partially compliant with the WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines: some content does not yet achieve full conformance, as described in the “Known issues” section.

  • WCAG 2.2 AAtarget conformance level (planned by end of 2026)
  • WCAG 2.1 AApartially compliant — ~85% coverage on main pages

2. Evaluation methodology

Evaluation is performed with a mixed methodology combining automated and manual checks:

  • Automated auditaxe-core and Lighthouse run in CI for every release to main.
  • Manual testingtests with NVDA screen reader (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS).
  • Keyboard navigationfull keyboard-only journeys (Tab, Enter, Escape) on all main pages.
  • Colour contrasttext/component contrast verification (target ratio ≥ 4.5:1).

3. Known issues

We are aware of the following accessibility issues, tracked in our continuous-improvement plan:

  1. 1. Form fields: dynamic errors

On some forms (e.g. membership application) error messages are not always correctly linked to fields via aria-describedby.

Temporary mitigation: The secretariat is available on +39 040 67 67 00 for phone assistance in completing the form.

  2. 2. Embedded OpenStreetMap

The map iframe on the “Contact” page does not provide an alternative textual description of the location.

Temporary mitigation: The full address is always printed in text next to the map.

  3. 3. PDF documents

Some PDFs (e.g. annual reports) are not yet structurally tagged for full accessibility.

Temporary mitigation: You can request an alternative format (HTML or accessible PDF) by email: [email protected].

4. Feedback and reports

If you encounter a barrier while using the site or need content in an accessible format, please write to us:

We reply within 15 working days.

5. Enforcement procedure

If the reply is unsatisfactory, you may submit a report to the Italian Agency for Digital Italy — AgID (www.agid.gov.it) using the dedicated accessibility form.

6. Legal framework

  • Italian Law 9 January 2004, no. 4 (“Stanca Law”) as amended
  • Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies
  • Legislative Decree 10 August 2018, no. 106 implementing the EU Directive
